CJ Group II
Last year, Raritan made a run to this sectional final before losing to Somerville. With the Rockets out of the picture this year, it's one of the teams it beat that has me thinking about a Shore sectional champ. Since six teams have first-round byes, this is more a preview of a preview. Check out the blog before Friday's games to get the rest of the preview.
#9 Carteret at #8 Shore
Shore might be well-served to get a game under their belts before another game against Rumson. At home against a team that likely won't have the talent the Blue Devils have, Shore should advance to a third game against Rumson (this again?). But they haven't really had a great performance in a big game yet this year, so the opening round game is important beyond just winning.
#10 Matawan at #7 Bordentown
Matawan did great job getting in but beat a couple of weak teams to get there. On the plus side, they tied SJV and competed well in a Class B North division that is comprised mostly of schools that are bigger. They may have another win left in them, which would be big because it would guarantee a .500 season. Unfortunately, they'll have to beat defending sectional champion Somerville if they get by Bordentown.
I'm afraid to ask, but I'll do it anyway...

I agree Shore needs to show up. The Carteret game is important for them to get back on track. I dont know if Rumson Shore game 3 is going to be a good thing. I was at the last game and it was wild. The blog was out of control after that game. Game was a great game but the garbage that came afterwards was insane. Hope everyone keeps in control if they do play again. No dirty hits- play on Mckenzie was a sorry display. Mckenzie has not been the same since- that is ashame.
i think a shore-rumson game 3 would be very intense. Mackenzie hasnt been the same since game 2 , but he has the guts to confront them again. Before we could even think about SR and RFH 3 game, shore has got to get by Carteret, i dont know a lot about that team, so if you can tell me anything i would appreciate it...

Let's just hope the rfh vs. shore game has some decent officials this time...
Shore/Rumson would need good officals so game does not get out of control- Shore beat Carteret first then you can have a rematch
What time is the shore v carteret game today?
Shore showed up today 2-1. Great game by Perria and Scarpino. Right side was very strong.
