Regular Season

Brick Mem. 5, Southern 2

Colts Neck 3, Raritan 2

Howell 3, Freehold 0

I was at the Shore-FT game. I'll get into greater detail later, but I'll tell you that Shore controlled the first half of play, then Freehold Twp. DOMINATED the second half. Novoa put in a nice goal from about 40 yards out to make it 2-1, but Freehold Twp. put on a clinic for the 10 minutes or so. Noeges, Clark, Searby, and Composto all had big second halves.

When Is A Red Not A Red?

Answer: When it's 2 yellows

What is it with this ridiculous modified rule that teams can bring on a 'substitute' for a player red-carded on a second yellow.

Any other place on earth a red means you play a man down.

And yes, I'm referring to Rumson Ocean game where Rumson played almost the entire game with 10 -v- 11 when both teams each had a player red-carded.

Matt, I can tell you what happened in the Shore game in the last Ten Min- Scarpino right outside Mid went down and came out of the game and Freehold was smart enough to start attacking on that side. Shore Goalie let in two bad goals and two mistakes by Mckenzie cost them two more. That being said Freehold Deserved to win the game

Ocean beat RFH 2-1. Both teams played hard in an extremely physical game with terrible officiating.

B South had a good showing yesterday. Clay Gashlin of Central and Brien Thomsen of MonDon are top players in the Shore Conference. Lakewood lost a close game in OT.

matt you really messed up in some of the articles with the stats. you gotta be more careful. for example, mike cozzetta had both goals for neptune and you only credited him with one in todays paper. but on your blog you have it correctly with him scoring 2
